40% of every NEW MassBike membership in the Pioneer Valley comes back to the PV chapter, and 25% of every renewing membership. This means that your MassBike membership directly supports YOUR biking environment — on Pioneer Valley roads and trails, on transportation committees and agencies in the Pioneer Valley, and in Pioneer Valley events like Bike Commute Week.
MassBike/Pioneer Valley is a chapter of MassBike, the statewide bicycle advocacy non-profit organization.
Our goals include...
- Maintain a visible, vocal, and effective coalition of bike advocates throughout the Pioneer Valley.
- Support bike- and pedestrian-friendly legislation in our towns.
- Establish bicycle/pedestrian/transportation committees in every town in the region.
- Enact traffic calming (speed humps, "neckdowns," etc.) in our neighborhoods.
